Standing Guard

Today will be short and sweet. Old Gnarly Gander and the Goose Gang, are just loving this weather. Wet and cold seems to be their favorite kind of day to travel the farm.

As for me, I have some work to do keeping an extra eye on the baby chicks that Mrs. B will be moving up to the chicken grower’s farm real soon here. Mrs. B and Mr. Francis are loading the barn with hay today which is kept down the road – so they will be coming and going. I was given strict orders to not let anything get this batch of baby birds. As the colder weather comes those foxes know right where to go to warm their bellies!

So for now – life is busy getting the farm ready for winter not to mention everyday chores!

Whew – I am worn out just thinking about it.
